| I haven't read the manga but this arc feels really rushed. Last episode ends on the cliffhanger of the maid being kidnapped, and it's instantly resolved at the start of this episode and they're suddenly at the beach now. Should've been a couple more episodes for the audience, Geto and Gojo to get attached to Riko; because I do think killing her off is a good moment in concept, but I felt nothing because we barely knew her. |

| It's so damn cool when you KNOW something is going to happen. The ED starts playing, Riko expresses that she wishes to live longer - to continue her life with everyone else. Gojo and Geto gives her that option, and she wants to take it. It seems so peaceful, but we already know that it can't happen. Yet we STILL go absolutely silent, eyes wide when she got shot. It was just pure brutality. WHO IS THIS MAN |

| That was definitely not expected, and also kind of scared me by the sudden jumpscares, wonder how would Gojo survive and get back to him and fight together. |

| Fantastic episode. You gotta love Toji, he's a true menace to the core. It's still honestly quite surprising seeing Gojo lose like that, but he had to be taken down a peg. Just because you're the strongest doesn't mean you have no weaknesses. Now with their first major failure, how will these young jujutsu sorcerers handle it? Probably not well. |

When I saw the trailer for this battle in the PV, it looked like they put a lot of effort into the animation, so I expected too much. However, the scene in the PV is that scene in episode 4, and they weren't serious about this battle at all. My feelings are in the minority, but I think there are more than a few people who feel the same way about fans who have a deep love for JJK. Still, I love the story from episode 3 onwards, so even if the animation doesn't work out or the drawing doesn't live up to expectations, I can enjoy watching it without worrying about anything. I would use the animation budget from the beginning of episode 1 for episode 3, but that was a good introduction and interesting. Personally, I feel like season 2 has finally started from episode 3. I wanted Toji to have a cool BGM like BLEACH and a dedicated BGM, and I definitely want MAPPA to hire staff like BLEACH and Attack on Titan in terms of sound. It wasn't the best, but it was good overall, and the way it ended, including the insert song, was unexpected and gave me goosebumps, which was the best surprise. ☆4 ????? "Weren't serious" how? You people don't even know how to make critiques. |

| I wish we've watched this before season 1 in the future. You obviously know that gojo won't die so it's not as exciting . Overall great episode tho |
| Well, they sure made Riko's death super obvious. They even had to play the ED song earlier for emotional buildup lol. But seriously, they needed more episodes if they really thought I would feel emotional for a girl I only knew for two episodes. That said, still a solid episode tho. Gojou vs. Touji was good and that piano OST when they were walking around Okinawa was simply superb. |
| Animation was on point for this episode. Toji wearing down Gojo gradually until he could get the chance to make his move was a good buildup to this fight. Can't wait to see Geto utilize those crazy looking Cursed Spirits in the next episode. The dragon and trench coat mummy summoning looked pretty sick. Kind of disappointed about Riko, but not surprised since the PV spoiled it. |

For what it's worth, Gege's style of writing is efficient. We've already seen Gojo and Geto fight fodder, and it's already been established that apart from a select few, most curse users don't really stand a chance against them. Kuroi's kidnapping indeed isn't explored in the manga, and we cut directly to the beach just like in the anime. This arc is more about Gojo and Geto than it is about anyone else. In fact, the Japanese transliteration of "Hidden Inventory/Premature Death" refers to a hidden pearl/broken pearl, which refer to Gojo awakening his full powers and Geto's downfall respectively. Riko's death—while its adaptation adds a shock factor—is reserved for Geto's ideals of protecting the weak being shattered and rather serves as the start of his downfall. |

He's no cakewalk. Having no Cursed Energy is an exception to quite a few rules established in the power system, like with him passing the Jujutsu High barrier without being detected. |
